Houthi militias bomb an entire family in Taiz
Taiz /
The monitoring team at the Human Rights Information and Training Center – Hritc confirmed that one death occurred today in Taiz as a result of the Houthi shelling of Al-Saila village, and two people from the same family were wounded. Before the Houthi militia, bombed the village of Al-Sa’ila in the Al-Dhabab area of Taiz, where the militia launched its shells from their positions in the Hadran region, west of Taiz. A shell directly hit the family of the citizen Hashem Muhammad Ali, who was injured along with his wife, Suad Ahmed Abdo, and their child Mahmoud Hashem (five years) was martyred.
The bombing, which took place at 5:30 pm on Friday, May 13, comes with an unprecedented escalation of the Houthis in more than one direction towards Taiz, which has been besieged for more than seven years.
The Center appealed to the United Nations envoy and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights to stop the systematic aggression against Taiz, and said that eyewitnesses confirmed to the monitoring team the Houthi bombing of safe villages without justification and that Houthi forces stationed in the west of the besieged city know very well that these villages of Sabr Al-Mawadim are overcrowded villages and a continuous crossing for safe travelers.
