29 violations documented by the HRITC during the past months of April and May in Taiz

The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) announced that it documented 29 violations during the past two months of April and May in Taiz Governorate, 22 of which were committed by Houthi militias and 7 violations were committed by gunmen outside the state.
The center said in its monthly report entitled “Taiz under fire… Continuing suffering under the siege” that its field team documented the killing of 14 civilians, including two women and 6 children, 10 of whom were killed by Houthi militias, while four of them were killed by gunmen outside the state.
Seven civilians were killed by Houthi militia drone strikes, including four children and two women. One child was killed by direct fire, another civilian was killed by a Houthi sniper, and a third civilian was killed by a landmine planted by the Houthi militia.
Three civilians, including a child, were killed by direct fire by gunmen outside the state, and another civilian was killed by stabbing with a sharp object by a gunman outside the state.
The field team of the center also monitored the injury of 14 civilians, 11 of whom were injured by the Houthi militia, and 3 others were injured by gunmen outside the state. 3 civilians, including 2 children, were injured by sniper fire, 6 civilians, including 3 children and a woman, were injured by an explosion planted by the Houthi militia, while a civilian was injured by a drone strike, and a Houthi gunman assaulted a woman. 3 civilians, including 2 children, were injured by direct fire from a gunman outside the state. The field team of the center was able to document one case of an attack by a Houthi gunman on a woman in one of the Mawiya villages while trying to harass her.
