The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) announced that it documented 49 violations during the period from July 1 to September 30 in Taiz Governorate, of which the Houthi militia committed 24 violations, the US-led coalition aircraft committed 9 violations, army personnel caused 12 violations, and gunmen outside the state caused 4 violations.
The center said in its monthly report entitled “Taiz: Ongoing Siege and Multi-Party Violation” that its field team documented the killing of 4 civilians, including two children, in a Houthi militia drone strike, and the killing of one civilian as a result of a landmine explosion planted by the Houthis, and two children were killed in a US-British coalition strike.
The center documented the injury of 30 civilians, 10 of whom were injured by the Houthi militia, one civilian was injured by gunmen outside the state, the army caused the injury of 12 civilians, and 7 civilians were injured during a US-British coalition strike.
Two civilians, including a child, were injured by a Houthi militia sniper, while three civilians, including two children, were injured by a Houthi militia mortar shell, and five children were injured by a Houthi drone strike.
Seven children were injured by US-British coalition airstrikes, and an explosion in an army weapons depot injured 12 civilians, including five children, while one civilian was injured by an attack by gunmen outside the state.
The center’s field team was able to document one attack by gunmen outside the state, one kidnapping and enforced disappearance by gunmen outside the state, and two violations of freedom of opinion and expression by the Houthi militia.
The center’s field team documented eight violations of private property, with two houses partially damaged, another house completely damaged, and four vehicles damaged by Houthi artillery shelling, while a house was partially damaged by gunmen outside the state.
