Since midnight on Wednesday, October 20, 2016, Yemen entered a fourth armistice within a year and a half of the ongoing war between the army that supported legitimacy and backed by popular resistance on the one hand, and the armed Houthi militia supported by the forces loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Taiz witnessed the largest percentage of these violations, as the bombing focused on residential neighborhoods in the city, from the areas where the militia is stationed in Jabal Al-Sallal and Tabat Al-Sofitel in the eastern region of the city, as well as the western and northern regions.
A number of residential neighborhoods have been targeted, resulting in various injuries among civilians, partial destruction of a number of homes and buildings, and a state of panic and panic among children and women.
