Starting the work of the training course on journalism during conflicts
Taiz 6th August 2020
The training course for the press in light of the armed conflict begins today (the course of the late Abdullah Khalil).
Organized by the Human Rights Information and Training Center (Hritc), 36 participants from various Arab countries participated in the session.
The course program offered by Mr Magdy Helmy includes lectures and training on:
– Armed conflicts in international law and the role of the press in calming conflicts.
– As well as protecting journalists in armed conflict, the course lasts for five days.
The course, which deals with journalists working in the field of human rights, will work on how to prepare the most appropriate human story and the art of covering conflicts with an introduction to photojournalism in armed conflicts.
It is worth noting that this is the second group of the Human Rights Information and Training Center – HRITC program in a course on behalf of the late Professor Abdullah Khalil, the lawyer, member of the HRITC Advisory Board, and was devoted to “Journalism and Human Rights.”
