HRITC Calls the Rescue of the West Coast Residents in Yemen

The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) confirmed that the villages of Al-Durayhimi area have been under increasing bombardment for several months and that dozens of victims in the western coast extending between Taiz and Al-Hudaydah have been subject to flagrant with continuous violations.
In addition, the center expressed its regret at the difficulty of the movement of monitors in the region, which suffers from widespread marginalization since the outbreak of the fighting on this coast.
HRITC, a regional organization that has a consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, said that the village of Al-Qaza, in the Al-Durayhimi district in Al-Hudaydah governorate, was subjected today, Sunday, 11/29/2020 to a violent artillery bombardment by the Houthi militia, killing seven civilians and wounding ten other women. The condition of some of them is critical.
The center’s statement today described what happened in the village of Al-Qaza a real massacre, and according to eyewitnesses that the HRITC monitoring team communicated with, the shelling deliberately hit a gathering of civilians, residents of the village.
All of the following were killed in the massacre:

- Jumah Mohammed Omar Ali
- Omaimah Ayesh Omar Ali
- Maymoona Omar Ali
- Hajar Mohammed Omar
- Mohammed Omar Ali
- Mohamed Fouad
There are at least four wounded, in critical condition:
- Arafat Fouad
- Rashid Omar
- Mona Fouad
- Adnan Fouad
The Human Rights Information and Training Center – HRITC called on the United Nations to work hard for the sake of the lives of thousands of citizens who face death in a geography forgotten by international observers, according to what the center said.
