Statement of the Association of Mothers of the Kidnapped: There is no prospect for the implementation of international agreements on the issue of abducted, forcibly disappeared and arbitrary detainees
Further, since there is no near horizon for the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement and its first steps in the Jordan Agreement, as well as the Riyadh Agreement with regard to the file of the kidnapped, detained and hidden. We are the association of the mothers of the kidnapped in this stand and from the headquarters of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Sana’a, we demand all the kidnapping and detention parties represented by the Houthi Group and the Transitional Council, And the legitimate government accordingly:
- To release all kidnapped, forcibly disappeared and arbitrary detainees; Because of belief, opinion, or political affiliation, without restriction or condition, in compliance with their legal and moral responsibilities, and in fulfilment of their duties towards the people of the homeland.
2- Bring the perpetrators of kidnapping, detention, concealment and torture crimes to the national courts, so that they receive their fair punishment.
3- Close all unofficial prisons and secret prisons in which the human values of the kidnapped violated and lack the most basic natural needs.
4- Removing all military points between Yemeni governorates that practice detention against women, men, and children without legal justification
(Al-Houthi Group, the Transitional Council, and the legitimate government) implement the agreements signed under regional and international sponsorship to release the kidnappers and the detainees, in addition to obliging them to implement international covenants, covenants and international humanitarian laws.
Mothers, children, wives and relatives of the abductees are waiting for the return of their relatives to be reunited after their absence, as bars have deprived them of joy and joy for past years.
