HRITC announces the opening of registration for the training course (Women’s Rights in Light of the COVID-19 Pandemic)

Within the “Women and Peace” program, the Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) is organizing the special training course “Women’s Rights in Light of the Covid-19 Pandemic”, in cooperation with the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict, GPPAC.
The training will be conducted by Mahmoud Abdel Fattah – expert in human rights and development
Course date:
Group A 12/13 Oct.
Group B 19/18 Oct.
Registration for the course opens from Thursday 1 October 2020 and the deadline for application is 8 October 2020.
The training program will include:
1- Women and the International Bill of Human Rights, the right to equality and non-discrimination.
2- The violations of the rights of women and girls in disasters and crises (Covid 19 as an example).
3- The necessary interventions to enable women and girls to exercise their human rights.
4- Participation’s role in harnessing the capabilities of their institutions to support women peacemakers.
The training will be done using the virtual communication technique of the Zoom program.
The course will give priority to advocates of women’s issues in the Arab region and workers in non-governmental organizations (women and men) who contribute directly to enhancing the effective role of women in building peace.
