Today, with the conclusion of the fourth training session
HRITC concludes the Women and Peace program in the Arab region

The work of the training course on women’s rights in light of the Covid 19 pandemic, organized by the Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC), in cooperation with the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC), concluded today.
The session targeted 40 participants and participants from various Arab countries.
The course dealt with learning about international and regional instruments on women’s rights and protection mechanisms.
In addition, the effects that the spread of the Coronavirus has on women’s rights in its various economic and social aspects.
The course presented by the human rights expert, Mahmoud Abdel Fattah, was characterized by the distinguished presence of human rights activists and civil society, and a great interaction that was positively reflected in the outcomes of the session and the need to coordinate efforts in limiting the damage caused by the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Ziad Khaled, Director of the Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) in Beirut, confirmed that this session is the fourth within the Women and Peace Program and the second in its topic of women’s rights in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
HRITC stresses every day its keenness to spread the culture of human rights and defend the principles of human rights, foremost among which is the rights of women, as this is the cornerstone of promoting the stability and progress of human society.
At the conclusion of the program, Ziad Khaled affirmed HRITC appreciation for working with the International Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC) and said that we have worked together in a long program that has tangible outcomes in training and qualifying leaders and leaders in peace building and women’s rights, and he wishes them to impart knowledge and positive contribution to society.
It is noteworthy that HRITC has completed, during the past two months, four courses in the field of enhancing awareness of women’s rights, activating international resolution 1325, and facing the current challenges in the path of women’s rights in light of the current challenges.
