The second report of the truce that Yemen has entered since midnight on Wednesday, October 20, 2016, the fourth truce within a year and a half of the ongoing war between the army that supports legitimacy and is backed by popular resistance on the one hand, and the armed Houthi militia supported by the forces loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Taiz also witnessed the largest percentage of those violations, as the first report of those violations focused on the bombing of residential neighborhoods in the city, from the areas where the militia is stationed in Jabal Al-Sallal and Tabat Al-Sofitel in the eastern region of the city, as well as the western and northern regions.
A number of residential neighborhoods have been targeted, resulting in various injuries among civilians, partial destruction of a number of homes and buildings, and a state of panic and panic among children and women.
The HRITC field team documented the first breakthrough of the truce by the coup militias in the sixth minute of the entry into force of the truce from the Taiz governorate through the bombing of residential neighborhoods since the first minutes of the announcement of the truce, which focused on the Hasanat and Tha’abat area on Friday 10/21/2016
