394 violations documented by the Information Center last April in Taiz

The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) announced that it has documented 394 cases of violations against civilians in Taiz Governorate during the month of April, most of which were committed by the Houthi militia directly and deliberately.
The center said in its monthly report that its field team was able to document the killing of 17 civilians, including 5 children, the Houthi militia killed 11 civilians, 5 of them children, as two children were killed by shrapnel of artillery shells, and one civilian was killed by a sniper of the Houthi militia, while two civilians were killed by direct bullets. 4 civilians, including 3 children, were killed by the explosion of a landmine planted by the Houthi militia, and a civilian was killed by being run over by a Houthi crew, while another civilian was killed under torture by Houthi gunmen.
Two civilians were killed by direct bullets by militants outside the framework of the state, and 4 civilians were killed by direct bullets by the joint forces of Tariq Saleh.
The field center team was able to monitor the injury of 23 civilians, including 13 children and 3 women, the Houthi militia injured 15 of them, including 10 children and two women, where two civilians were injured, one of them a child, by artillery shells of the militia, and 8 civilians, including 6 children and a woman, were wounded by the explosion of landmines planted by the militia. In addition, one child and one woman were wounded by Houthi sniper fire, and 4 civilians, including a child, were wounded by direct bullets, while 3 civilians, including two children, were hit by a militia crew.

The field team documented 9 cases of kidnapping and enforced disappearance, of which the Houthi militia carried out 7 cases, while gunmen affiliated with the joint forces on the western coast of Tariq Saleh carried out one case, and unknown gunmen carried out another case.
The Center also documented two cases of attacks committed by armed men outside the framework of the state, and the Houthi militia committed the second case, as well as two cases of violations of freedom of opinion and expression committed by the Houthi militia.
The center’s field team documented the forcible displacement of 35 civilians by the Houthi militia on April 5, including 12 women from the Al-Tuwair Al-Olaya village, the Maqbana district, and the displacement of about 60 families on April 27 from the Al-Mahmar area in the Maqbana district after targeting their homes with violent bombardment by the Houthi militia. HRITC team documented that the International Organization for Migration monitored the displacement of 222 families due to the intensification of confrontations in their areas and the continuous artillery shelling during the period from 4 to 24 April.
