The Information Center condemns the bombing by the Houthi militia of residential neighborhoods crowded with civilians in Taiz
Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) condemned the bombing by the Houthi militia of densely populated residential neighborhoods in Taiz, which has continued since this morning, Saturday, July 24, 2021.
The shells of the Houthi militia stationed on the 50th Street in Taiz targeted residential neighborhoods on Al-Thalatheen Street in the Al-Maliha area of the Mudhaffar District.
According to the monitoring team of the Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC), a shell directly hit two children and a man:
- Youssef Mohamed Hassan, 37 years old
- And the two siblings:
Hossam Jamal Hazbar 9 years old
Ahmed Jamal Hazbar, 5 years old
The center’s statement issued today added that at seven o’clock this morning, Al-Hajja Nima Rashid Noman, 65 old, was also hit in the Al-Quiha area, the Moqbna district, by a sniper from the Houthi group’s concentration areas in the Al-Taweer area overlooking the Al-Kuwaiha area.
The Human Rights Information and Training Center (Hritc), a regional organization that holds consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, appealed to international organizations to work to stop the hysterical bombing and to stop targeting citizens in Taiz who are subjected to direct and deliberate killing in crimes against humanity committed by the Houthi militia against citizens on an ongoing basis with Its continued imposition of a deadly siege that Taiz has been suffering from for seven years.
In its statement, the Center indicated that the continuation of this siege is a war crime that is being declared openly in front of the eyes and ears of the whole world, which must assume its moral and legal responsibilities towards this, and stop these continuing grave violations in violation of international humanitarian law and human rights in an unprecedented manner.
