83 violations documented by the Information Center last January in Taiz

The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) announced that it had documented 83 cases of violations affecting civilians in Taiz Governorate during the month of January 2022, the most likely cause of these violations was the Houthi militia.
In its monthly report entitled “Taiz, the siege of Bombing and Epidemics,” the center said that its field team documented the killing of 12 civilians, including 3 women. The Houthi militia caused the death of 9 of them, including 3 women.
Where 3 civilians were killed, including a woman, with mortars and heavy artillery, while one woman was burnt with an anti-aircraft device and 4 civilians were killed with an explosive device, while another woman was killed by direct fire, and 3 civilians were killed by direct bullets by gunmen outside the framework of the state.
The field center team was able to monitor the injury of 32 civilians, including 5 women and 8 children. The Houthi militia caused the injury of 27 civilians, including 5 women and 6 children. Seven civilians, including a woman and two children, were wounded by various artillery shells, while one child was wounded by a militia sniper, and a woman and two children were injured. Suffocation with smoke from an anti-aircraft fire of the Houthis, and 14 civilians, including a woman and a child, were injured by an explosive device planted by the Houthi militia.
The field team documented the injury of 3 civilians by direct bullets by gunmen outside the framework of the state, and two children were injured as a result of the attack on them by the government army.
The field team documented one case of the kidnapping of a woman by gunmen affiliated with the government army, another case of an assault on two girls by members of the government army, which led to their injury, and two cases of violations of freedom of opinion and expression committed by unidentified gunmen.
The field team monitored 35 cases of damage to public and private property, 4 of which were to public property, where the Al-Thawra Hospital and Sholaq Mosque were damaged by the bombing of the Houthi militia, and the vicinity of the central prison was targeted with a booby-trapped plane, and the Houthis confiscated humanitarian aid provided by the World Food Program.
31 cases of violations of private property were documented, including the damage of 8 houses completely, 14 partially and 6 vehicles, and the burning of a house as a result of the bombing by Houthi militias. Houthi gunmen also raided a house after it was damaged by direct bullets, and unknown armed men stormed the Yemen Shabab channel and tampered with its contents.
The report dealt with the areas that were affected by the bombing, especially the Maqbna district, Al-Hussein district, Wadi Salh district, Al-Aqrad in Al-Masrakh district, Al-Daba`a district in the Cairo district, the eastern neighborhoods, Al-Shammasi district, and Al-Masara village in Maqbna.
The report touched on the health situation, which worsened due to the increase in the number of fevers and viral infections since the beginning of January, on top of which are dengue fever, malaria, typhoid, coronavirus or micron.
