The role of Parliament in democratic reforms
The Council of Representatives is the highest and most powerful supreme political body, for example, on behalf of the people, and on its behalf, and sponsor of its interests, exercising its legislative, regulatory, financial, and constitutional function. Therefore, the parliament’s role remained important in democratic reforms and in ensuring the exercise of public and private rights and freedoms, political, civil and economic. There are questions about the actual role of the House of Representatives in democratic reforms by reading the social, political and intellectual composition of the House as well as the organizational and administrative structure and oversight bodies. These questions were answered in this publication, with its working papers presented at a seminar organized by Human Rights Information and Training Center – HRITC in Sana’a, in which it hosted a group of parliamentarians, academics and those interested in democratic reforms. This book is an important addition to the Arab Human Rights Library and a reference for all researchers, interested and knowledgeable.
