The role of the intellectual in making democratic transformations
The intellectual remained at the forefront in order to make change and make the bright future and in our Yemeni history, or our Arab history in general, the intellectual remained the owner of the advanced vision that makes the features of the future, and even at the forefront of the revolutionaries who were not satisfied with saying | He put forward theoretical visions, but instead adhered to this reality and led the first ranks of change towards progress and a more beautiful future.
Now, as we go through important moments of making our history in urgent need to restore the role of the active elite, not only in setting contemporary visions of democratic change. Rather, and to work for a sort that transcends the party framework, or narrow visions, to a sort that shows us serious entrenchment with the values of civilization, openness to the spirit of the times, faith in democracy and human rights, independence and liberation from the domination of colonialism and the oppression of rulers .. a trench that emphasizes justice, equality, women’s rights, and openness to the influential and affected With all this creative human heritage.
The publication, which contains important studies and working papers on the role of the intellectual in making democratic transformations, is the result of a seminar organized by Human Rights Information and Training Center – HRITC in Sana’a and hosted by an elite group of intellectuals and thinkers in Yemen and the reliable country to make transformations and promote democratic dialogue.
Also, this publication, with its studies and working papers, is considered an addition to the human rights march in the Arab world, and an important reference for researchers and those interested in the Arab region.
