HRITC calls for the restoration of stability in Taiz and calls on the Sharia leadership to give the Taiz case a top priority
Human Rights Information and Training Center called – hritc on the of the legal authorities in Taiz to quickly stop the lawlessness and stop the deterioration of the situation in the city of Soil and the Al-Hajaria area.
The center’s statement said today that the repercussions of the crisis in the soil are deteriorating, considering that what happened from the shooting of the demonstrators escalates the crisis and brings it into a new phase.
The Center, which is a regional organization holding consultative status with the United Nations, called on political forces for the necessity of a clear and swift declaration calling for restraint, containing security chaos, stopping the deterioration of the security situation and stabilizing.
Furthermore, away from the formation of any armed forms outside the framework of the state, and the speedy holding of dialogues between the top leaders of the parties to stop the deterioration, which the center described as serious, and that it will lead Taiz to a painful internal strike that promotes a societal division.
The center said that all official and party institutions should work with more force to stop the deteriorating conditions of the governorate, which are getting worse, as the security situation prevails in the city and various villages.
The storming of the governor’s headquarters in the city of Taiz by gunmen affiliated with one of the army’s brigades was a blatant picture of the frightening collapse that threatens the most prominent and important strongholds of the legitimate state in Yemen.
The Center for Information and Rehabilitation of Human Rights appealed to the civil society forces living in Taiz and the media to not be at this moment a part of the tools of the conflict and they should raise the discourse of peace and demand the restoration of the legitimate state institutions to their full role and refer any violations that were made to the judiciary and work to resolve them by legal means and with the utmost speed.
The center’s statement said that the clear truth in Taiz is that the stability of the largest governorates of Yemen and its rebellious heart can only be by strengthening state institutions and invoking the state of law and ending the current state of division between its directorates, whether in the coast or other directorates, to be all under one administration for the state and restore the role of security and judicial institutions .
Warning that the fall of Taiz in the cycle of internal conflict will enter Yemen a more complex path that will not stop at the borders of the province alone.
