88 violations documented by the HRITC, affecting civilians during last July in Taiz

The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) announced that it has documented 88 incidents of human rights violations that affected civilians in Taiz Governorate during the month of July 2020.
HRITC said in a press release today that its field team was able to document the killing of 11 civilians, including 3 women and a child. Another 5 civilians were killed, and unidentified persons killed 2 civilians.
HRITC field team monitored the injury of 50 civilians, including 7 women and 6 children, the Houthi militia injured 17 of them, including 5 women and 5 children, 7 of them were wounded by sniper bullets, including 3 women and two children, while 4 civilians, including 3 children, were wounded by mortar and anti-aircraft shells, and 6 were wounded. Civilians, including two women, exploded by mines and explosive devices.
Eleven civilians, including two women and a child, were wounded by direct bullets by gunmen outside the framework of the state, and 3 civilians were hit by the joint forces’ Tariq Saleh forces, while 3 others were wounded by unidentified gunmen.
The field team monitored two cases of violation of freedom of opinion and expression, one of which was committed by the Houthi militia, where gunmen affiliated with the militia beat the activist Dalia Abdullah in the village of Al-Sayyahi with patience, while gunmen affiliated with the government army assaulted the media photographer Muawiya Khaled Al-Hammadi in the point of Al-Makhdoush in Al-Maafir Directorate.
The team also documented the occurrence of 8 cases of kidnapping and enforced disappearance, one of which was committed by the joint forces, while armed men outside the state “Abu Al-Abbas Group” committed 7 other cases.
HRITC team monitored the occurrence of 17 cases of violation of private property, as 4 houses and 3 vehicles were partially damaged, and two houses and two vehicles were completely damaged as a result of the bombing by the Houthi militia, and two vehicles and a house were completely damaged by the explosion of an explosive device planted by the Houthi militia.
A house was damaged by bullets by unknown gunmen, and they stormed another house, and members of the government army burned a petrol station.
The monthly report issued by the Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) referred to the areas affected by the bombing of the Houthi militia, as it intensified its artillery and missile shelling on the soil in Al-Shamatin and Wadi Al-Qadi in Al-Mudhaffar District and the village of Al-Dubi in Al-Qabaita with mortar shells, as well as the bombardment of Wadi Al-Tabdad in Al-Mudhafar District and Al-Dhuba neighborhood in the Cairo Directorate with anti-flight.
The report also touched on the continuing state of security chaos and the continuation of assassinations, killings, looting and attacks by armed men outside the country or individuals affiliated with factions in the government army or unidentified persons who raise chaos, which made the security situation more complex day after day, which exposes official authorities to accountability for crimes. Armed groups that reach crimes against humanity, as the official authorities have not announced any public position against these armed groups and have not taken any measures against them that prevent them from committing crimes and violations that have become systematic and clear, which places responsibility directly on the leaders of the National Army and the official authorities.
