Yesterday, a well-known human rights activist and colleague Murad Al-Gharati, head of Tamkeen Organization for Development for Human Rights in Yemen, died in a hospital in Cairo, after suffering a heart attack.
Murad had left Sana’a because of the Houthi forces’ pursuit of him and the activities of the Tamkeen Organization, which was founded by the late and a group of activists.
Murad Al-Gharati is one of the prominent figures in the field of human rights in Yemen and the region.
He has always remained within the family of the Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) since the end of the nineties and is one of the actors in all our activities.

Hundreds of members of the Yemeni community in Egypt, the family and lovers of the deceased, buried the body of Murad Al-Gharti, after the noon prayer, Al-Hosary Mosque in the 6th of October City, amid a state of great sadness among all.
Hundreds of people gathered in front of the “Almoalmeen Hospital” at ten in the morning to take part in the funeral.
