HRITC confirms that the bombing of residential neighborhoods by the Houthi militia is a full-fledged war crime

Taiz /

The Human Rights Information and Training Center (Hritc) confirmed that the Houthi militia’s bombing of overcrowded residential neighborhoods in Marib is one of the full-fledged war crimes.
A statement by the center said today that targeting civilians with missile shelling by the Houthis on Saturday in Marib and targeting an oil station and civilian cars was a grave violation and a war crime, and the international community must assume its legal and moral responsibilities towards these systematic crimes committed by the Houthi militia.
The Human Rights Information and Training Center (Hritc), a regional organization that holds consultative status with the Economic and Social Council at the United Nations, was surprised by the silence of the international system with all its organs, especially the Security Council and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
The center’s statement said that this international silence by the international organization is unjustified and that it is working to increase the course of violence in Yemen, as it turns a blind eye to the clear and systematic crimes of the Houthi militia, fearing that silence encourages all parties to this frightening approach within a raging war.
The Center called on the United Nations to act quickly to stop these crimes and prosecute their perpetrators so that they do not become a method that deepens the wounds of the war in Yemen.
In addition, that the image of the girl, Lian, who was burned as a result of the bombing of a ballistic missile on Marib yesterday, will remind the Yemenis and the world of shameful international inaction.
The center stated that the outcome of the crime of bombing Marib with a ballistic missile and a booby-trapped drone by the Houthi group yesterday, Saturday, amounted to 19 civilians, 14 of whom were killed, including the girl Layan.
The center’s statement said that the Houthi militia’s bombing of two ambulances with drones after the two vehicles moved to treat the wounded is a flagrant violation of the rules of international humanitarian law and human rights and a crime against humanity committed openly and directly by the Houthi militia.
That the increase in the Houthi militia’s crimes against civilians is evidence of their approach to the policy of violence that is increasing in various regions of Yemen, including Taiz, Al-Bayda, Al-Dhalea, and Al-Hodeidah. According to preliminary information.
Eventually, the Center called on the Security Council to quickly send an investigation team to see the gravity of the violations taking place in Marib, especially the camps for the displaced, and the crowded population centers that are subjected to systematic bombardment by the Houthi militia.
