The Information Center condemns the Houthi militia’s bombing of a children’s park in Taiz

The monitoring team at the Human Rights Information and Training Center – Hritc confirmed that the Houthi group’s drone had flown since the morning of the first day of Eid al-Fitr last Monday, and continued to fly today, Wednesday, May 4, and launched at nine-thirty in the morning, four missiles in the place that is the first breathing space. The city of Taiz has been besieged by the Houthi militia for eight years, and the planes launched their four missiles in the overcrowded area, causing material damage.
Eyewitnesses confirmed to the monitoring team at the Information Center that the choice of place and time was intended to cause the greatest harm to the defenseless population, as it targeted an area between the city center garden, Al-Ahly Club, and the Children’s Hospital for Cancer Patients, and on the days of the Eid al-Fitr holiday. As a result, thousands of children and their families rushed to the park as a result of the bombing to escape, leaving damage and injuries and spreading panic among civilians in the overcrowded neighborhood.
The Human Rights Information and Training Center (Hritc) called on the United Nations to take serious steps to save the humanitarian truce declared by it, open the crossings of the besieged city of Taiz, and protect civilians.
