The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) condemns the escalation of racism in the United States of America against immigrants and blacks, reminiscent of the ages of apartheid.
His reality showed that a Minneapolis police officer pressed his knee violently on the neck of an unarmed African-American man whose racist outlook was rooted in policemen in the United States and that escalated with the position taken by US President Donald Trump against immigrants to his country, especially illegal ones.
HRITC also expresses its dissatisfaction with the way the American police dealt with breaking up the gatherings that took place in protest against this incident and depicting them as non-peaceful gatherings. While the police used excessive force in breaking them up after announcing the death of the man of African descent and discovering that he was defenseless and the police attempt in the state The officer acquitted him of the murder and justified putting his knee on his neck that he was in self-defense to prevent his escape.
The Center confirms that this incident is not the first in the United States. Where are dozens of incidents that took place in a large number of American cities and the media ignored the reference to it and was monitored in more than one human rights report and escalated its severity with the rise of the current President of the United States who rejects the presence of foreigners in his country
HRITC calls on the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights to condemn this incident and form an independent team to investigate this and similar incidents. The US withdrawal from the International Human Rights Council does not mean that it is a justification for carrying out these violations without holding the perpetrators accountable.
The Center calls on the US government to open a public and extensive investigation into the facts of the targeting of law enforcement forces in the United States of America to citizens of African descent and immigrants, especially illegal ones.
In light of the repetition of those facts in different patterns.
Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) also calls on American and international human rights organizations to condemn this incident and similar facts and to pressure the American administration to stop its systematic campaign against immigrants and spread fear among the American people.
