The Information Center denounces the silence of the international community towards Houthi crimes in Marib and calls on the United Nations to quickly intervene to save civilians and displaced persons

The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) called on the United Nations and the international community to take serious steps to protect civilians from the direct and systematic bombing of the Houthis, which targeted the overcrowded residential neighborhoods in the Marib Governorate, east of Yemen, especially the camps for the displaced.
The statement of the Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) today, Sunday, hritc, which is a regional organization that has a consultative status with the Economic and Social Council at the United Nations, said that the Houthi militia has launched a massive attack on the city of Marib since the beginning of February. In its multiple bombing, it used the scorched earth policy to hit all civilian objects and overcrowded population centers, and it directly and deliberately targeted refugee camps, which are known and overcrowded gatherings.
According to confirmed information obtained by Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC), the city of Marib was hit yesterday, Saturday, February 27, by more than eleven missiles, one of them a ballistic missile last night and a large and successive attack by drones.
The city axes were also attacked by seven different coordinates of the vast Houthi forces in order to control the city of Marib, which is the most attractive Yemeni city for the displaced fleeing the grip of the Houthi militia.
According to official public information:
2 million displaced people in Marib Governorate are at risk of death due to the deliberate bombing of the Houthi militia.
Especially in the camps for the displaced in Sarwah district, including the camp of Falaj al-Malah, which has been targeted since the dawn of February 8, 2021 with Houthi artillery and mortar shells, which prompted 47 families to leave the camp towards Dina Al-Sawabeen, and the Houthi militia have besieged three families, most of them women and children.
In Al-Zour camp, and since February 8, 2021, the displaced communities of 570 families have been targeted with 23 mm bullets and mortar shells, which prompted some families to leave the camp towards the city of Marib, and on February 11, the Houthi militias again targeted the camp directly with heavy bullets and mortar shells. As a result, all families left.
On February 14, the Houthi militia stormed the camp, burned some homes, and planted explosive devices and mines on the roads leading to the camp and among the dwellings.
According to an official documented statement, the Al-Sawayyin and Al-Hayal camp were also subjected to direct bombardment with field artillery, mortar shells, and heavy bullets by the Houthi militia, which led to the displacement of 450 families to Rawdat Sarwah and injuries among the displaced, while the Houthi militia prevented 470 families from displacement and cut the road to and from the camp to use them as shields mankind.
The Center called on the United Nations and the Security Council to take serious steps to stop the war crimes being perpetrated by the Houthi militia in Marib.
The Center denounced the silence of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the various international humanitarian organizations for their silence towards these systematic crimes, which claimed the lives of dozens of dead and wounded.
