HRITC calls on the international community to protect Jerusalem and affirms that what the Israeli occupation forces are doing are war crimes
Taiz /
The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC), called on the international community, led by the United Nations, to quickly and urgently intervene to protect the rights of Palestinians and stop the grave violations committed by the Israeli authorities against the Palestinians in East Jerusalem.إ
The Center’s statement today described what the Israeli occupation forces are carrying out with a declared war crime against the residents of Jerusalem and the worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Center said in a statement today, which is a regional organization that has consultative status with the Economic and Social Council at the United Nations, that what the Israeli occupation forces do is a war crime according to the legal rules.
Furthermore that Jerusalem is an occupied Palestinian land and what is happening in it is subject to the rules of international humanitarian law and human rights, and that the world is legally and morally required to assume its full responsibilities in protecting the rights of Palestinians and stopping the violations that take place, which has shown violent practices, the use of excessive force and repression with the use of firearms and bombs, practices that amount to crimes against Humanity and systematic killing and destruction practices.
It is a shame that the world, led by the major powers, members of the Security Council and the European Union, has stood without real, tangible action on the ground to stop the displacement and uprooting of the population from their homeland and homes.
The Center appealed to all living and peace-loving forces to work hard at all levels and in different areas of their work and countries to press for stopping these crimes, promoting human rights in Palestine, and stopping the crime of displacement and cleansing, especially what is happening now in Jerusalem.
