157 violations documented by the HRITC last May in Taiz

The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) announced that it had documented 157 cases of violations of civilians in Taiz governorate during the month of May, most of which were directly and deliberately committed by the Houthi militia, and children were the most prominent victims, directly and deliberately.
In its monthly report, the center said that its field team was able to document the killing of 14 civilians, including 5 children. The Houthi militia caused the death of 6 civilians, 3 of whom were children. Two civilians, one of them a child, were killed by a Houthi sniper, while 3 civilians were killed by direct fire, and one child was killed by an explosion. A grenade exploded by a Houthi gunman.
3 were also killed by the explosion of a hand grenade thrown by a gunman outside the framework of the state, and one civilian was killed by direct bullets of a member of the government army, and another civilian was killed by a government army sniper, and two civilians were killed by direct bullets by unidentified gunmen.
The field center team was able to monitor the injury of 31 civilians, including 10 children, the Houthi militia caused the injury of 26, including 5 children, where one child was injured by the militia’s artillery shells, and 21 civilians were injured by the explosion of a hand grenade thrown by a Houthi gunman, and 3 children were injured by a Houthi sniper. Another child was wounded by direct bullets.
Two children were also injured by artillery shells fired by the government army, and 3 children were injured by the explosion of a grenade thrown by a gunman outside the framework of the state.
The field team documented 9 cases of kidnapping and enforced disappearance, where the Houthi militia kidnapped 8 civilians, while members of the government army affiliated with certain political factions carried out a case.
The center also documented 4 cases of attacks committed by armed men outside the framework of the state, two of which were committed by members of the government army, including two cases, including a woman. The center’s field team documented that the Houthi militia forcibly displaced 84 civilians on May 1, including 15 women from the Al-Quhaifa area, Maqbna district.
Including 15 cases of violations of private property were recorded, as 3 houses were completely damaged, 4 partially damaged, and 5 vehicles were damaged as a result of the bombing by the Houthi militia.
Two houses were also blown up by the Houthi militia, and a large amount of gold was looted by members of the government army.
