70 violations documented by the Information Center last July in Taiz


Taiz / Special:

The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) announced that it had documented 70 cases of violations against civilians in the Taiz governorate last July.
The center said in its monthly report entitled “Killing… Silence!” His field team was able to document the killing of 8 civilians, of which the Houthi militia caused the death of 4 civilians, as 3 civilians were killed by various missiles fired by the Houthi militia, and one civilian was killed by direct bullets.

Two civilians were killed by direct bullets by gunmen outside the framework of the state, another civilian was killed by direct bullets by unknown gunmen, and a second civilian was killed by direct fire from the joint forces of Tariq Saleh, which does not recognize the legitimate government.
The field center team was able to monitor the injury of 41 civilians, including 8 children and two women, the Houthi militia caused the injury of 15 of them, including 5 children and two women. The militia fired at neighborhoods and farms, while 4 civilians, including 3 children, were wounded by various artillery shells.

Also, 4 civilians were wounded by direct bullets by gunmen outside the framework of the state, while one civilian was injured by beatings by members of the government army, and 3 civilians, including two children who were run over by an army military kit, were injured, and another civilian was wounded by an army member, while 4 civilians were injured by a grenade thrown by him. Unidentified gunman.
The field team documented 3 cases of kidnapping and enforced disappearance, two of which were committed by armed men outside the framework of the state and one case committed by members of the government army. The center also documented two cases of violations of freedom of opinion and expression, one of which was committed by armed men outside the framework of the state and the other by members of the government army.

16 cases of violations of private property were recorded, as two houses were completely damaged, 3 houses were partially damaged, and 5 vehicles were damaged as a result of the bombing by the Houthi militia. A house and a vehicle were partially damaged by the bullets of unidentified gunmen. Directly by armed militants outside the framework of the state, and members of the government army illegally confiscated vehicles, mobile phones and items inside them.
The report dealt with the increasing state of chaos and lawlessness that prevailed in the governorate and has grown dramatically, and the armed militia scattered in the liberated areas engaged in acts of interest, seizing lands and some public and private properties, imposing royalties and extortion for some merchants and citizens, provoking riots and armed confrontations.
