74 violations documented by the Information Center last August in Taiz

The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) announced that it had documented 74 cases of violations against civilians in Taiz Governorate during the month of August.
The center said in its monthly report entitled “Taiz .. A City Besieged by Chaos” that its field team was able to document the killing of 24 civilians, including two children and two women, The militia also executed another civilian.
4 civilians were killed by direct bullets by gunmen outside the framework of the state, 8 civilians, including a woman, were killed by direct bullets by members of the government army, two civilians were killed with a “modified” medium weapon of the government army, and one civilian was killed as a result of torture in a secret prison belonging to members of the government army.
Three civilians were killed by direct bullets from the joint forces of Tariq Saleh, which does not recognize the legitimate government, and one civilian was killed by unidentified gunmen.
The field center team was able to monitor the injury of 18 civilians, including a child and a woman, two of whom were injured by the Houthi militia, while two civilians were injured by various artillery shells.
Eight civilians, including a woman, were wounded by direct bullets by gunmen outside the framework of the state, while two civilians were wounded by direct bullets by members of the government army, and 4 others were wounded by a medium (modified) weapon of the government army, and two civilians, including a child, were wounded by the joint forces of Tariq Saleh.
The field team documented 6 cases of kidnapping and enforced disappearance, one of which was committed by the Houthi militia, two of which were committed by militants outside the framework of the state, and two cases were committed by members of the government army.
The field team also documented 4 cases of assault on civilians, including two women, three of which were committed by members of the government army, and one of them was committed by armed men outside the framework of the state.
The center also documented two cases of violations of freedom of opinion and expression committed by members of the government army.
Twenty cases of violations of public and private property were recorded, one case of a public park as a result of the explosion of an explosive device planted by unknown persons, while 19 cases of private property were recorded.

A vehicle was partially damaged by bullets by members of the government army, while a passenger bus was completely damaged with a medium “modified” weapon belonging to the government army.
The Houthi militia looted 41 million riyals that were in the possession of citizens coming from the temporary capital, Aden, to Taiz Governorate, and a vehicle was looted by unidentified gunmen.
The report touched on the security chaos and the various events that affected the lives of civilians, and there were many cases of human rights violations, starting with threats to use weapons, to extrajudicial killings, especially with the affiliation of many of those who committed these crimes and practiced various violations in one way or another to security agencies or army camps, Which exacerbates the situation of the tragedy.
Cases of assault in order to obtain land plots or residential buildings constituted the core of many incidents of bloody armed clashes until they became a clear phenomenon.
