59 violations were documented by the Information Center last August in Taiz

The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) announced that it had documented 59 cases of violations against civilians in Taiz governorate during the month of August 2022, of which the Houthi militia caused the occurrence of 34 cases, and armed men outside the framework of the state caused 17 other cases, while members of the government army caused the occurrence of 5 cases and unknown gunmen 3 cases
The center said in its monthly report entitled ” Taiz The Death of the Armistice and the Continuation of the Bombing” that its field team documented the killing of 9 civilians, including 3 children. The Houthi militia caused the death of 5 of them, including two children.
The Houthis killed one child as a result of a landmine explosion, while two civilians, one of whom was a child, were killed by Houthi snipers, another civilian was killed by direct Houthi fire, 4 civilians were killed by direct fire from militants outside the framework of the state, and one child was killed in mysterious circumstances in a Houthi prison in the governorate.
Injury
The field center team was able to monitor the injury of 26 civilians, including 9 children and 3 women. The Houthi militia caused the injury of 12 civilians, including 6 children, and armed militants outside the framework of the state injured 9 civilians, including two women and two children, where Houthi snipers injured 8 civilians, including 3 children, and landmines caused Houthi forces injured two civilians, one of whom is a child, and Houthi shells injured two children.
Armed men outside the framework of the state injured 8 civilians, including two women and a child, with direct bullets, while one child was injured as a result of being beaten by armed men outside the framework of the state, and one civilian was injured by direct bullets by gunmen affiliated with the government army, and a child and a woman were wounded by a shell belonging to the factions affiliated with the government army. Two civilians were shot by unidentified gunmen.
The center’s field team documented 3 cases of kidnapping committed by armed men outside the framework of the state, two of which were committed by the Houthi militia and one collective case. It also documented two cases of assault, one of which was committed by the Houthi militia, and armed men in the government army committed the other case and one case in which freedom of opinion and expression was violated by unidentified gunmen.
