Taiz / Special: 54 violations were documented by HRITC last November in Taiz
The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) announced that it had documented 54 cases of violations against civilians in Taiz Governorate during last November 2022, of which the Houthi militia caused 45 violations, 5 violations were committed by gunmen outside the framework of the state, and 4 violations were committed by members of the government army.
The center said in its monthly report entitled “Taiz.. Siege until further notice” that its field team documented the killing of 4 civilians, including a woman, and the Houthi militia killed two of them, including a woman.
Where the Houthis killed one woman as a result of the bombing, one civilian died as a result of torture in the prisons of the Houthi militia, and another civilian was killed by direct gunfire from gunmen outside the framework of the state. In contrast, members of the government army killed another civilian.
The field center team was able to monitor the injury of 18 civilians, including 5 children and 5 women. The Houthi militia caused the injury of 12 civilians, including 5 children and 3 women. The Houthi snipers injured 3 civilians, including one child, and the Houthi mines injured one woman. 8 civilians, including 4 children and 2 women, were wounded.
Gunmen outside the framework of the state caused the injury of 3 civilians with direct gunfire, while 3 civilians, including two women, were wounded by direct gunfire of members of the government army.
The center’s field team documented one case of kidnapping committed by gunmen outside the framework of the state, one case of mass displacement as a result of the intense and continuous bombardment of the Houthi militia, and 30 cases of violations of private property committed by the Houthi militia were documented.
