HRITC – Targeting journalists in Gaza is a systematic war
Targeting journalists – Gaza
The Human Rights Information and Training Center (Hritc) confirmed that the Israeli forces’ deliberate targeting of press and medical personnel is a crime against humanity and a flagrant violation of the principles of international humanitarian law and human rights.
The Center (a regional organization that holds consultative status in the United Nations Economic and Social Council) said in a statement today that, as of yesterday, according to statistics, ninety journalists were systematically killed in the Gaza Strip by Israeli forces.
The assassination of Al Jazeera photojournalist Samer Abu Daqqa and the Al Jazeera crew took place yesterday, despite the fact that the authorities were informed that a medical team accompanied the press team, and it was clear according to the published badges that they were among the scholars in the press and accompanied by a medical team, but they were targeted by a guided missile from an Israeli drone, which confirms that it was a deliberate and systematic killing operation.
Statistics indicated that, as of last week, one hundred and eighty-seven medical personnel had been killed in Gaza, while the death toll among the media family had reached ninety media personnel to this day.
This is the highest rate in the world and the history of international armed conflicts.
The Human Rights Information and Training Center (Hritc) called on the international community, led by the Security Council, to stop the war and work to pursue the perpetrators of various violations. It said that the International Criminal Court is under a real test of its path, and the violations of the war in Gaza constitute a disgrace to humanity.
