The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) announced that it documented 91 cases of violations last October in Taiz Governorate, of which the Houthi militia committed 82 violations, and gunmen outside the state committed 6 violations, while unknown gunmen committed two violations, and members of the government army committed only one violation.
The center said in its monthly report entitled “Taiz: Siege and Continuous Bombardment” that its field team documented the killing of 3 civilians, including a child. One child was killed by a mortar shell, another civilian was killed by a Houthi drone missile, and one civilian was killed by direct bullets from unknown gunmen.
The field center team was able to monitor the injury of 18 civilians, including two women and 10 children. The Houthi militia caused the injury of 11 of them, including 7 children and two women. 3 civilians, including a child and one woman, were injured by mortar shells. 5 civilians, including a woman and 3 children, were injured by Houthi sniper bullets, and a child was injured. 6 civilians, including 3 children, were injured as a result of a bomb explosion by gunmen outside the state, and one civilian was injured by direct bullets from a gunman in the government army.
The Centre’s field team documented an assassination attempt carried out by unknown gunmen, and also documented the displacement of 13 families recorded by the International Organization for Migration during the first week of October as a result of the continuous bombing by the Houthi militia.
56 cases of violations of private property were also documented, as 12 houses were partially damaged, 5 others were completely damaged, and 16 vehicles were damaged by Houthi artillery shelling, and 3 houses were completely destroyed by Houthi militia artillery shelling.
