Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) calls on the international community to intervene and protect
In a statement today, Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) condemned the killing of a family in the Hajdah region, west of
Taiz.
In its statement, HRITC said that the family of Fahd Aqlan Al-Safari, a member of the Hajdah region, west of Taiz, had been burned to death after setting fire to the house on Tuesday morning.
According to a confirmed account from the villagers, the fire was deliberate and intending to kill the family, and the fire led to charred
The bodies of:
N. Name Age
1 Jalila Fahd Aqlan 18 years old
2 Ahlam Fahd Aqlan 15 years old
3 Iyad Fahd Aqlan 7 years old
4 Fahd Aklan 5 years
Seriously, unless the rest of the family and some neighbors were able to extinguish that fire.
Sources in the village, which is under the control of the Houthi group, confirmed that people from the region who belonged to the Houthi group
committed the heinous crime within a series of horror experienced by these villages located west of the city of Taiz, which links Taiz with the city
of Mokha and the main road to Hodeidah Governorate.
According to information obtained by the Monitoring and Documentation Team at Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC), the villages of Hajdah, Ramada, and even Al-Barh are living in a state of terror because of armed groups operating outside the law and taking refuge in the forces and support of the Houthi leaders who are working to create chaos and lawlessness.
Moreover, the supervisor of the Houthi group in the region committed several crimes, including the killing of five persons who refused to continue their work with him in the fighting and preferred to remain in the area, where Abd Rabbo Sinan, Sheikh of Al-Barh village, and five of his
companions were executed last week.
Yesterday, the incident was repeated by burning the house of Fahd Aqlan Farea Al-Safari, whose house is located near the main street in Hajdah
district, Taiz Governorate.
Because of this, Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC), a regional organization holding consultative status with the Economic and
Social Council at the United Nations, called on international organizations, particularly the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, as well as the international envoy, to take the necessary action to redress the victims and work with the national authorities to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
